Mummy Come Back ( A poem dedicated to the 26th July Deluge Affected Victims in Mumbai)

I'd never seen God

And I'd never felt him near

But that day I'd never want to recall

The day I had my biggest fall

The place was filled with water

Vehicles half drowned

People were swimming through

And I heard that every little sound

I was Alone at home

Crying and screeming in pain

But God never heard me

And all my prayers went in vain

I knew no where

Which place was mummy there

And in the thunder storm

I heard as if she was there

I could hear her say

"Don't cry my child, I love you so much"

But all that I missed was her gentle touch

Days after days

Everything was dry

But God even now couldn't hear

A little child's cry

"Mummy come back

I'm waiting for you so long

I Promise when you reach back

I'll sing you a song"

So many years now

I'm still waiting for mummy

If only she comes home

I'll ask her why did she keep me so lonely

Grandpa says

God has kept mummy on his lap

I still pray to God

To please send my mummy back

I feel so loney, Alone and Lost

For the love of a mother can never be measured in cost

Ask this to all those who've lost a mother

No money, No Life

Can ever bring a mother to Life :(

"I LOVE YOU MUMMA"
